Who's It Gonna Be...

Tomorrow the Rose Bowl will feature two stellar teams fighting for the coveted crown. Penn State will take on USC, and in my opinion, I hope that Penn State takes it... But I wouldn't be surprised if USC takes home another one. Game time is set for 4:30PM / Eastern.

He's been the "Comeback Player" twice....

Just as you see Chad Pennington holding up two fingers, that's how many times he's been voted the Comeback Player of the year in the NFL. I bet the New York Jets are saying that to themselves... "Come Back Chad... Come Back Chad" Because the Dolphins are in the playoffs, and the Jets are not.... Isn't life funny...

2008 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year...

Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan was voted the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year. And rightfully so, when Michael Vick was sent to prison no one really thought the Falcons were going to do much this season. But then they unleashed the beast, and Matt Ryan has lit up defenses all season long, and has earned the Falcons a playoff spot. Congrats Matt...

And not that the voting was close at all. Here's the list:
Chris Johnson, Tennessee : 3

Ryan Clady, Denver : 2

Matt Forte, Chicago : 1

Matt Ryan, Atlanta : 44

They're ALL GONE!!!!

Rod Marinelli (Detroit), Eric Mangini (New York Jets) and Romeo Crennel (Cleveland) were all fired as Head Coaches yesterday from their respective teams. And believe it or not, the job to get is going to be in Detroit. Whomever gets the Head Coach position, will have the #1 pick in the draft next year, along with Dallas' first round pick. And will be able to staff his coaches how he'd like, seeing as how most of the offensive and defensive coaches were let go as well.

0-16... What else is there to say...

Well... It's the record that every Lions fan didn't want to achieve, and I'm sure that the players and staff didn't want either. But the Detroit Lions have made history by being the first NFL team in history to go 0-16. There should only be two people left in the organization when they hopefully clean house this offseason... Calvin Johnson and Jason Hanson. Hopefully they'll listen.

Here we go again.... "I'll go home and get away for a week or so, we haven't really talked about it, and make the right decision.." Those were Favre's comments to reporters after the Jets disappointing loss to the Dolphins this past weekend. Is he done... In my opinion, Favre could probably play for another year maybe two. But he's got to be in a system where he's having fun. And who knows if he'll find that in time...

Gotta Love The Ref's...

You can't blame the ref, he wasn't in the way... It's St. Louis Ram's running back Kenneth Darby's fault... Don't run towards the ref... Especially this one... Now THAT'S what I call a forearm shiver....

SSSHHHAAAZZZAAAMMMM!!!!

GO PACK G--.... Oh Wait.....

Yup... The Packers lost in OT to the Chicago Bears last night. The Bears keep their Playoff hopes alive, while the Packers.... Ahhh... Yeah.... Get back to those TPS reports...

The NFC's Top Seed... A Jolly Blue Giant

The New York Giants pulled out a great win in overtime to beat the Carolina Panthers last night. Derrick Ward and Brandon Jacobs ran their rear-ends off to put the Giants over the Panthers 34-28 in OT. So whomever wants to go the Super Bowl, is gonna have to go through the Meadowlands....

Remember this guy???

Among all the hype about Tiger's knee getting better, and how he'll be ready to go for the Masters next year.... Who has thought about Vijay Singh???? Well yesterday Singh put up a 5 under score of 67 to win the Chevron World Challenge. He's 46, but looked 10 years younger Sunday...

Colts Need A Win Tonight...

The Colts can clinch a playoff spot tonight by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts did have a slow start to the season, not as slow as Detroit by any means. But since have won their last seven games, and looking for a playoff spot.

The Vikings fate hangs with this guy....

Tavaris Jackson will start for the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday against the Falcons. Jackson who was benched early in the season for poor play was replaced with aging back-up Gus Frerotte for most of the season. When Frerotte went out early in the first half against Detroit, Jackson came in and played very good. Minnesota needs sharp play again from this Quarterback.

Eagles top the Browns, make playoff push...

Donovan McNabb threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns as the Eagles beat the Cleveland Browns 30-10.... Philly is a half game behind three other teams for two wild card spots to make the playoffs.

See that guy.... No not THAT guy... The OTHER guy...

Yup... I'm talking about Tiger Woods caddie Steve Williams. Williams was heard recently at a charity event talking badly about pro golfer Phil Mickelson... Here's Williams quote, "I don't think Phil's a great player, cause he's an a**..." Williams may not remember, but Tigers last caddie, Fluff... was fired for getting too much publicity, hense taking spotlight away from the REAL reason people watch golf... Tiger Woods. Tiger spoke about Williams comments, and said that he was disappointed in Williams, and that the matter would be taken care of privately... Any caddies out there, the #1 golfer in the world might be hiring....

Drama Was Put Aside Last Night...

Witten... Romo... Owens... The soap opera surrounding the Dallas Cowboys about who liked who more, was put on hold last night as the Cowboys defeated the Giants 20-8. Apparently winning puts people in a different state of mind... Imagine that!?!?!?!

Manning was sacked 8 times last night... Ya think he's hurting today???

What is it about Soccer guys...

They're always taking their shirts off????

Gould was... Gold!!!

Robbie Gould made a 35 yard field goal to keep the Chicago Bears playoff hopes alive, by beating the New Orleans Saints last night. Among Gould, other notables on Chicago were Kyle Orton throwing 24-40 with 172 yards. The Bears are a half game behind division leader Minnesota.

Does SIZE matter???

Well if you base that question on the above photo... It MIGHT appear that size DOES matter... But of course we're talking about the size of Gissele's wedding ring... (get your mind out of the gutter!!!) Brady, when a women tells you to get her a small antique looking ring... DO IT!! She obviously knows you can afford a ring the size of saturn, but she doesn't care for it... This is something, I know that you'll learn... A happy WIFE... is a happy home.... Write that down.

She's Proven that She Belongs...

Playing 90 holes in five days, Michelle Wie has graduated from Q-School and now has her LPGA Tour Membership Card. Watch out ladies... The female "Tiger Woods" is coming....

Hope You're ready for this...

That guy who's entertained us with films like Robin Hood, Dances with Wolves, For the Love of the Game, Waterworld... Is now going to grace us with his musical abilities... Yup... Actor/Singer Kevin Costner has signed a deal with NASCAR to perform and make appearances. Costner and his country-rock bank Modern West has been hard at work putting together music for NASCAR. Watch out world, here they come... So I guess the hopes for a "Tin Cup 2" are out of the question????

Texans Defeat Jaguars on Monday Night

In case you missed Monday Night Football last night, the Houston Texans defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 30 - 17. Among many other things, Defensive End Mario Williams sacked Jacksonville QB David Garrard in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters, causing a fumble that the Texans recovered. Defense does truely win football games....

The Detroit Red Wings slipped by the Anahiem Ducks 2-1 last night. With a 1:48 to go in the third period, Marian Hossa faked out Anahiem goalie Jonas Hiller to score the wings winning goal. What a second... A Detroit team won a game????

Plaxico Burress may face a whole world of hurt from either the state of New York, the NFL or the New York Giants.... Or worse... He could face the back-hand from all three!!! Burress posted 100,000 bail on Monday for illegal possession of a firearm. The state of New York has strict rules when it comes to firearms, and Burress could face up to three years in prison. Also, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell could place Burress on suspension. Not to mention that the New York Giants could do a number of different things to Burress, that may leave him without a team and cash...
