The Big Game..

With the Super Bowl being on Sunday, both teams need to prepare correctly to putt out a win. From my point of view, the Steelers need to either put a stop to Kurt Warner, or to Larry Fitzgerald. When these two hook up, something strange comes through the air. And as far as the Cardinals go, thye need to put a strong hold on Porter in the running game, and pressure Big Ben. He's never done well when he's been pressured.

My perdiction... Cardinals 21 - Steelers 14

With the Super Bowl Coming on Sunday...

Here are the Top 10 Best Endzone Celebrations... Enjoy!

Idols Aren't What they Seem...

Stand-out wide receiver Santonio Holmes for the Pittsburg Steelers is I'm sure on the walls of young kids all over America... Especially in Pittsburg... But with all the media going on this week, leading up to the big game... Holmes let something slip, that I'm sure he didn't want to say... While growing up, and being a promising athelete, Holmes also spent a year on a street corner selling drugs...
Now... I understand that sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do... But this is something that parents should keep in mind while they're kids idolize athelete's.

Steelers Wide Receiver Hines Ward sat out most of Wednesday's practice...

Apparently... He was doing this....

Apparently Stepping on Someone's Face....

Aubrey Coleman a junior for Houston was ejected from Saturday's game against Arizona for STEPPING ON SOMEONE'S FACE... And what was his punishment??? A one game suspension... Watch the video, and if you're like me... It didn't look like mistake...

And in some hope for having fans give him a little more credit... Terrel Owens is going to have his own reality show on VH1, that will track his life off the field. T.O.'s friends and publicists will assist him in getting his life off the field in order, and also play "match-maker". Would you want this guy??

Collins is In...

Tennessee Titans head coch Jeff Fisher has announced that Kerry Collins will be the starting QB for the Titans next season. In earlier weeks, Collins had expressed his interest in staying with the Titans, but only if he would be the starter. Fisher said that Kerry has earned the starting position for next season based on how he performed this season. That leaves the former #1 draft pick Vince Young on the bench. The Titans have also expressed their interest in keeping #3 QB Chris Simms as well..

Something So Simple...

High School Senior Trevor Leahy has designed and developed goalie pads that resemble netting. Trevor says that when the opposing team attempts to score on him, they're always looking for the open net. So as opposed to wearing dark blue pads that give the clear vision to the open parts of the net, he's developed these pads. He's already had two shut-outs with them. Figures it took a senior in high school to come up with something sooo simple...

Lions Name Scott Linehan as the new Offensive Coordinator

Maybe it's just me... But didn't the Rams offense SUCK this year??

Lion's Name Cunningham as Defensive Co.

He was once a Head Coach, replaced by Herm Edwards. But Edwards kept him on staff due to his experience and composure... Well now, Gunther Cunningham has joined the rebuilding Detroit Lions. New Head Coach for Detroit Schwartz, says that he's excited to have Cunningham on board, and looks forward to working with him...

One question... WHY... The Chiefs defense last year, only had 10 sacks... I understand that you're only as good as your players... But 10 sacks?? Hopefully, this was a good move...

The Cowboys Want Ray Lewis...

So The Dallas Cowboys have apparently made it public that they desperately want Linebacker Ray Lewis from the Baltimore Ravens. Lewis's contract is up after this season, and the Cowboys are willing to offer Lewis a reported 27-30 million dollars for a multi-year contract. When asked why the Cowboys would like to have Lewis on it's team, Owner Jerry Jones said, "I believe that we're in serious contention for the Super Bowl next year, and Lewis can help with the issues inside the locker room..." I think that Jones might be reffering to Terry Tate... Watch this...

He might be able to get the job done inside the Dallas lockeroom... Ya think!?!?!

It's Video Day on S.F.T.S....

Below are a couple of videos I just had to share... The first is a compilation of missed dunks... Now I give credit where credit is due. I can't dunk, so I appreciate the skill that people have that can... BUT... When they miss... It's pretty funny. Enjoy!

This is the clip of the hit on Baltimore Ravens RB Willis McGahee... It's pretty bad... But from a former linebacker's perspective... I used to LOVE those kind of hits...

Super Bowl XLIII... Who's it gonna be??

It's been decided... Super Bowl XLIII is between the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburg Steelers. Vegas has the Steelers winning the game as of right now. But it's two weeks until the big game, and we'll wait and see if there are any key injuries that might change that perdiction. Personally... I'm rooting for the Cardinals...

He Says He Likes Challenges...

The Detroit Lions have found a new Head Coach... Former Defensive Coordinator for the Tennessee Titans, Jim Schwartz. Schwartz has signed a four-year deal with Detroit, and is expected to have his first press conference today about his new position. Schwartz says, that he likes challenges... Well, he's definitely got one...

But for some reason... This is all that's running through my mind...

May the Schwaarrrttzzz be with you...

Drifting... Would you try it???

Now, all I really know about drifting is that it takes a bit of nerve to do what these people do. If you've seen the movie "Fast and Furious Toyko Drift" you have somewhat of an idea what these guys do. But take a look at this video from INSIDE the car while you're drifting....

Any takers??? I didn't think so....

Tony Dungy has stepped down as Head Coach for the Colts

Dungy has traded the NFL for family and peace of mind. Best of luck to you Tony, and if you'd ever like to make a comeback, we're hiring in Detroit...

I've Got Mine... Get Yours!!

Let's face it... For us Lions fans, there's no where to hide... Well a couple of die-hard Lions fans have released the "Zero and XVI" shirts. I think that these shirts are great. After this last season, we Lions fans need an outlet of humor, and this is it. You'll see a link to the left, where you can go and purchase these shirts. There's also a "Pre-Season Champs" shirts that is also available. I've got mine, and wear it with Pride!!

With the top four players in the world not playing, Ogilvy took home the win with 6 shots under par.

Would you feel good about his win??? I mean the whole idea of competition is to be the best, and compete against the best, but with Tiger, Phil and Sergio out of the picture... Who's left...

Now... I give anyone credit who take the time and dicipline to study any kind of art. But these guys just gotta make you laugh... Enjoy!

Would anyone be scared of these guys???

Who Cares What Matt Millen Thinks!?!?!

Seriously... I think having Matt Millen on the "Football Night in America" pre-game show... Discredited the program...

And what do ya know... Matt picked the game incorrectly... What a surprise!!!

Who's in... Here are the teams that made it through round 1 of the playoffs....

The Eagles took care of the Vikings

The Ravens ended the Dolphins hopes

Warner and the Cardinals beat the Falcons

And in Overtime, the Chargers beat the Colts

Believe it or not... But there's actually something called, "Chess Boxing." Watch this video, and you'll see what I'm talking about...

Best Team in the Nation???

Well, the final score really doesn't show how much USC manhandled Penn State... The final score of 38-24 is a bit deceiving. At one point USC had a 31-7 lead over the Nittany Lions. The Trojans QB Mark Sanchez threw for 413 yards, when the opposing quarterback puts up those kinds of number, it's hard to win football games....

The Winter Classic at Wrigley Field

The Detroit Red Wings skated past the Chicago Blackhawks in front of the Chicago crowd 6-4. Is it me, or should all hockey games be played like this???
